Easily Wean from Bottle to Sippy Cup
Think back to before you had kids. I know it makes your brain hurt, but try. Did you ever think it would be an issue that you would have to teach your child HOW to drink from a SIPPY CUP? Personally, I never gave it a nano-second of a thought before my eldest daughter turned one. And that’s when the trouble began.
Weaning my daughter from breastfeeding to a bottle was difficult. At times, horrendous. But compared to weaning her off of the bottle and on to a sippy cup was a whole other animal. We spend countless hours and millions tons of money searching for that ONE cup she’d like and learn to take.
Finally, after a visit with my cousin, I discovered the Nuby soft sipper Gripper cup. The heavens opened up, the light shined in on me, and I shouted, “Hallelujah!” (I even prounounced the “j.”)

I just got called to the Nursery at church, so I’ll be teaching (and feeding) children 18 months to 3 years old. I think that colors my thinking, because The First Years Take and Toss 28-piece Variety Pack and all The First Years Take and Toss Sippy Cups just made it to my wish list. I like the fact that they can be reused or recycled, but can be thrown away if necessary. They are great gifts for moms of young children, but I would label one for each child in the Nursery program, keep a few extras on hand for visitors, and be able to replace them when components get chewed up by little teethers. Nuby sippies are my absolute favorite for transitioning. We used the soft spout ones for a while and now have switched to the hard spout. They work wonders. I found two gifts that I like and would love to have for our new baby on the way, the Adiri Nursers and the Chan Pie Gnon Teething toys, so so cute.

I’m a big fan of letting people choose their own gifts, so when I go to showers or parties, I almost always give a gift certificate. I see that they offer gift certs in amounts from 10, 25, 50, 75 and $100. That’s what I would give!

I think the Itzbeen Baby Care Timer would be a great gift, especially for first time parents
I know I was constantly stressing over how long it had been since I had last nursed the baby, when the last time I changed her was, has she been sleeping too long, etc.!
