No - it’s not quite Christmas shopping season (but don’t tell my mother-in-law - she’s almost done).
IT’S BACK TO SCHOOL and out of Mama’s hair TIME!
Even if your kids aren’t heading to school yet, your kids can still start their learning at home. Having educational toys, books, and games at home are important in the development of your kids. Good for the Kids has a wide range of books, DVDs, toys, and games to aid in your children’s learning.
Early Learning (0-12 months) - Encourage learning with Brainy Baby books, DVDs, and Flash Cards and stimulate the senses with Melissa & Doug First Play toys. Easily-manipulating toys that fit in your baby’s hands encourage sensual development.
Toddler Learning (12-38 months) - Toddlers learn anything and everything very quickly. Encourage their learning patterns with engaging, entertaining products. Potty training, balancing, coloring and coordination are just some of the many activities featured in this learning category.
Preschool Learning (3-7 years) - If you have or know a young child, you know they have many questions. Help them to answer their own questions with your encouragement. READING is KEY to early learning. Good for the Kids has a wide variety of themed books and matching stuffed animals to pair tactile, visual senses with auditory learning.

My favorite “engaging educational product” could be almost anything on that site! What a wonderful selection to choose from. If I can choose only one thing, I am really partial to the book/plush combinations such as the “Are You My Mother” and the “Five Little Monkeys”. Children learn so much listening to stories and retelling them and the plush characters encourages them to retell the stories as they play. They can even pretend to “read” the book to the plush character(s).

I really like the Melissa and Doug First Bead Maze. Aside from engaging the infant in moving the beads through the maze and developing their fine motor skills, it appears to be small enough to take along on trips or even for days at the park. Durability is another issue with me, having had the experience of already having had two hard playing boys, this product looks like it will stand the test of time.
