Hosting Giveaways
Good for the Kids is expanding our site by allowing bloggers to host giveaways of our products on your blogs. We’re thinking of this as a win/win situation by which you (the blogger) will receive a gift of thanks from us for hosting the giveaway, and we get more exposure to your readers.
To clarify - YOU are hosting a giveaway FOR Good for the Kids. WE are giving away the prize - YOU are HOSTING the giveaway.
Guidelines
- The writeup post you do about Good for the Kids needs to be your words. We encourage you to use the product descriptions on our site, but please quote when do you use the descriptions.
- You can choose to give away a gift certificate, an item(s), or gift basket. (Note: We’re not crafty, so we don’t do baskets, but you can put it together if you’d like.) The value of the giveaway (gift certificate or item) must not exceed $50. Remember - it’s OUR $50, not yours.
- We require that you devote one post (Sunday) to the giveaway and details of the giveaway. During that week, we ask that you mention and link back to your giveaway on each post you do that week. Just a little reminder at the bottom of your post would be perfect.
- The entrants must be required to go to the Good for the Kids website as part of the entry.
For example, “Your comment must include the name of an item from the ________ category. If your comment is chosen as the winner, and a ________ item is not included in the comment, we’ll pick another winner.”
- The giveaway will last for one week (Sunday at 12:01am EST to Saturday at 11:59pm EST).
Giveaway Entry Rules
The giveaway entrants must be limited to entering one time per day (max of 7 entries). Depending on the prize you are giving away, the winner can be from the US, Canada, or worldwide. Gift certificate prizes are open worldwide. Item prize entrant locations depend on the item you choose for to giveaway and will be determined when we discuss the actual giveaway for your week.
Winners must be drawn at random from the entrants. Random.org is a great way to select your winner. Once you’ve picked a winner at random, please email their information to me for the prize.
Promoting the Giveaway
Promoting a giveaway is 75% of the process, though it doesn’t take long to do. Good for the Kids will promote the giveaway on our blog here and on Prizey. It is STRONGLY encouraged that you promote the giveaway on other sites like Online Sweepstakes (strongly suggested), Kirtsy, and Grandma Jam. There are lots of other ways to promote, but the key to gaining traffic is PROMOTING the giveaway.
Goodies
As a thank you to YOU, the writer, we will give you a $30 gift certificate to Good for the Kids for your time and effort in doing the giveaway. If you put up our banner on your blog for the week of the giveaway (or longer), we’ll increase the amount of the gift certificate to $40.

So, you planning on doing this every sunday? For how long? I’d love to do it on both my giveaway site and on my main site. Stagger the weeks. Do I need any extra approval, or is this comment enough for me to forge ahead?
